Tarn Hows
Weather: Clear and cold with bright
sunshine.
A family Boxing Day visit to the ever
popular Tarn Hows today for a spot of sledging - a nice, clear day after
the heavy snowfall yesterday and the perfect antidote to the excesses of
Christmas Day.

Plenty of snow for sledging down to The Tarns.

The Langdale Pikes.

Wetherlam with a non-snowy Holme Fell to the right.

Another view of Holme Fell and The Langdale Pikes.

Looking across Tarn Hows to Dunmail Raise, left of
centre with Helvellyn and Fairfield to the right.

Tarn Hows.

The rising moon over Fairfield.
