Route Map
Today we had a walk up to Cat Bells
(the setting for Beatrix Potter's 'The Tale of Mrs Tiggy-Winkle',
Connie's favourite - of course!), getting there and back using the
Derwent Water launch from Keswick. It was a warm day and Connie did
brilliantly completing this climb, her hardest yet I think and she
absolutely loved it on the launch.

The Cat Bells - Maiden Moor - High Spy
ridge from the launch on Derwent Water.

The Skiddaw massif from the climb up to
Cat Bells. Select on the image for a larger version.

The north-western fells and the
Newlands Valley.

Skiddaw.

Cat Bells from Skelgill Bank.

Rowling End and Causey Pike, Crag Hill
to the left with Grisedale Pike to the right.

Connie hangs on to her sandwich whilst
Angus sees something more interesting on the summit of Cat Bells.

Looking across Hause Gate to Maiden
Moor.

Bassenthwaite Lake from Cat Bells.

Blencathra in cloud from Brandelhow Bay
