Daze! - May 2006
(formerly known as The Angus Diaries - now it's double
trouble!)
May seems to have passed by quickly and
was quieter than usual on the fell walking front. We did manage a few
quality, long walks in reasonable weather, although it has taken a turn
for the worse again as the month has progressed.
Casper is in full training mode at the
moment, attending a weekly formal training class (naturally, he takes it
all in his stride!). Angus is 'not having it' anymore with the 'Casper
flypast' and gives a good bark back now should any attempt be made to
thwart his progress.
I hope you enjoy this selection from the
fellwalking master and the young pretender.

Pre-haircut (thankfully!) on a cold and windy Rough
Crag.

We are good lads, honest! The 'wait' command worked on
Water Crag, Hesk Fell beyond.

A fine view of the Scafells from Seat How.

Casper prefers to play hide and seek in the grass
though.

A throne fit for a King - Angus in The Chair on Red
Pike.

The boys look along Ennerdale from the summit of
Steeple whilst we look over to Pillar.

Gale force winds on Looking Stead.

Nearly ready for take off!

But not too windy for Angus to have a bark and a swim
in the tarn.

Hot, hot, hot on Lingmell.

Phew!

Asleep at home after a long walk.

Striking a pose in the long grass.

A portrait of Casper long-legs on Gummer's How - photo
by Connie.
