Daze! - March 2007
A little bit of Winter and a little bit
of Spring this month; it is definitely warming up now and the boys are
not so far away from their annual shearing - I'm sure they are looking
forward to that! We have not been as prolific with our walks this month
but we've still had some enjoyable ones - the Rosthwaite Round is always
a delight and one of my favourites up to Wetherlam was completed in
superb weather. I hope you enjoy the latest collection of out-takes and
misfits from the merry, merry month of - er - March.

Casper in gun-dog pose on the way to Birks,
overlooking Ullswater.

'How on earth are we supposed to get down from here?'
The boys ponder the view from Arnison Crag into a flooded Patterdale.

'I used to be clean and fluffy before I discovered
Dock Tarn...'

...heaven!

'Here's my new party piece Angus. Remember when I used
to just look blankly at these stiles?'

'Well done Casper, I've obviously taught you well -
give me a leg up!'.

A lie down on Beacon Fell for the fell master.

'Woah! Where the heck did you come from Busta?!'. It
was wild on Skiddaw that day, a baptism of fire for Nick and Busta.

'I'm sure there's a tarn here somewhere' - the boys
look forlornly on a frozen Wetherlam.

Casper enjoys the warm sunshine on Wetherlam.

A lovely view from the summit of Wetherlam.

Aagghhh....I'm sliding awaaaaayyyy..!

No dogs in this one, but there was a fabulous sunset
when we went for a late evening walk on Birkrigg Common.

Shake it, shake it, shake it baby.
