 AngusDog Daze! - April 2007Casper

A shorter collection this month as we didn't get out as often as we would have liked for one reason or another. In this Dog Daze! the boys have their winter coats a-flowing for the last time this year as they now have their new streamlined look for the summer. We had some great weather throughout April, it was certainly unseasonably warm - perhaps they should have had their haircut a bit earlier this year?

Casper all fluffy and clean on Great Burney.

Onward marched the two headed Beardie.

Angus, the elder statesman, disregards young Casper with his victory roll shenanigans on Holme Fell.

Casper has a shake and a bark at Angus, who is still swimming.

Looks like Maya and Casper are deep in conversation here on Cat Bells!

For added interest, I thought you may like to see this, it is Connie's short account of our day on Cat Bells:

One day me an Maya went walking. My Dad and Nick and our three dogs came too; we went to Cat Bells. I want to ask a question: "Why do the dogs always wait until everybody looks to have a wee?". Anyway, let's get on with the story. What was I going to say? Oh yes, I remember now, we went on a boat. We had to sit on the inside even though it was a nice sunny day because there were no seats on the outside and that was not as much fun. It took ages to get to the top and Nick said it was going to take four days to get to the top if we carried on at this rate. Then at last we finally got to the top and had our picnic. Then it was time for me, Daddy, Maya, Angus, Casper, Busta and Nick to go back down the mountain. We went a different way back. When we were just about to get on the boat, Angus kept swimming round and round and he wouldn't come out. We only just made it on. We got a nice ice cream (I had a 99) and I said "Goodbye" to the Plishkos and went home. The End

Flaked out on Rough Crag.

Serene on Harter Fell.

Tongue out again for Casper.

Well, I jumped in this tarn - after all this is Tarn Hill...

...except it wasn't water, it was mud!

Thick mud...

...there was no way I could shake this off!

Pwoar! It pongs!

Tastes alright though!

Spotted something far, far below from the top of Coniston Old Man.

Content to feel the breeze in his hair, Angus has been on Coniston Old Man many times.
