Daze! - June 2007
In general, June was dullsville as far as
the weather went rapidly descending to a very wet dullsville. Ah, the
vagaries of the British weather! Undeterred we still managed to get out
now and again for a walk and take a few photos along the way. Enjoy the
out-takes from those walks in this months Dog Daze! - the Angus and
Casper journal of fell walking.

One of the most famous silhouettes in the Lake District...and the
Scafells.

Muddy paws on Buckbarrow.

A hoary old relic, Casper and the Joss Naylor cairn look to Middle
Fell!

Remember this photo when Casper got into deep trouble
on Little Calva? Well, here's the escape, which took some doing...

Struggling to get out, then the horrible slide back
in.

If at first you don't succeed...

...try, try again. Made it!

Skulking off with dented pride then freedom!

I'll stick my tongue out to that!

The handsome devil himself on Birker Fell.

Not forgetting the other one of course.
Casper found something hysterical on Gummer's How...

Ha-ha-ha, woo-hoo-hoo...

...hee-hee-hee, haw-haw-haw...

...unf! Ithe got my thung thtuck on here!

The miniature Casper looks at the giant Angus with awe.

Something to get tongues wagging.

Competition time - a mention on the site for anyone
who guesses the fell that Casper is attempting to take a bite from and
the fell in the background.
Thanks for all the entries to the June Dog Daze! 'competition'
(above) with quite a flurry being received. The photo was correctly identified by Dave Dimmock, Peter Bell and Nick Calcutt as being taken from Glaramara with Bow Fell in the background. The winner though was Angela Espin who correctly deduced with pinpoint accuracy that the photo was actually taken from Lincomb Head on Glaramara. I don't think I would have got that one so well done Angela!

Quick as a flash!
