Daze! - November 2007
The weeks and months are flying by and we
are rapidly approaching the dark days before the end of the year. The
weather has seen many typically wet and windy days, oh for some winter
snow and some clear, crisp days. We can only dream of those at the
moment and it will soon be Christmas - if that thought fills you with
dread, it's best to look at this months selection of out-takes and misfit photos...then
get out for a good walk!

Arr-woo! Arr-woo!! I am the wolf of Catbells!!

It's-just-too-windy. I can't hold on...

...no, I'm going...

...aaarrrggghhh!

Is my hair alright? I've just got something on the end
of my nose.

Speak no evil, hear no evil...

...see no evil!

Casper! Come here!... the old enemies meet once more.

Right...ready..should..I..now?...smile - okay.

This is one way to spoil the still reflections in
Levers Water, now if
I stick my tongue out too...

Still managing to look stately, despite the wind and
the rain up on Brown Howe.

Hmm, not a bad day on the walk up to Scafell Pike, eh
Casper?

Who's that? There was even someone else next to me
taking photos of Casper on the cold, cold summit of Scafell Pike.

Trying to hide in the grass on Scafell. Or is he
getting a drink?

He is a loyal dog, Casper. He is always at my side and
will follow me anywhere. When I stop to take a photo or two, he
patiently waits nearby. I think this photo on the steep descent from
Scafell neatly sums up 'dog and master'.

Guess the fell. No prizes but a mention on the site
for anyone who can name the distant fell and where this photo is taken
from.
Update: The answer to the teaser is Dow Crag (which many guessed
correctly) from Lowick Common (which most didn't). The two people who
were 100% correct were Pete Juniper and Martin Block. Well done both,
you obviously know your fells!
