Daze! - February 2008
We have had some superb weather during February and it is
no surprise that it is a record breaker as the sunniest ever. Some of
the walks I have done, especially the family ones, have been truly
memorable. Angus and Casper have enjoyed all the walks as ever and
presented here are some of the photos that never made it to the main
walking pages during the last month, the out-takes and misfits that are
'Dog Daze!'.

Bracken attack on windy Middle Fell.

Rounding up Dad.

A bit damp but happy to be out I think.

Still life in the old dog yet. Angus leads the way down
the dramatic descent from High Hartsop Dodd whilst Casper works out the
best way down.

Casper the seal.

Hair-raising in the white stuff on Bowfell.

Anti-snowballing on Crinkle Crags (for the uninitiated,
the snow balls under dogs paw pads and every so often they have to pick
it out with their teeth).

Select on the photo to see a short time-lapse photo
sequence of
Casper stile climbing on Yewbarrow, Casper style! (Opens in new window).

"I'm trying to keep my tongue in, honest!".

Out of there Casper! - he looks a little guilty when
caught in the act of attempting to enter a boggy pool.

No need to blow a raspberry at us Casper, or are you
just proving you can get all of that tongue back in your mouth!

He's a golden boy.

I've got Connie on one knee, Casper on the other and I
think we are all concerned that mum might not be pressing the right
button! Not that Angus is bothered in the least.

You may recall this photo from the Latterbarrow walk.
Louise's photo below captures the behind the scenes action...

Lights and make-up anyone?

Something looks interesting down there.

Almost...there...Casper.
Keep...crawling...and...we'll...make...the...top.

Ann decides to 'surf' on Harry to the top of
Mellbreak!...

..."Ha ha ha, he he he - that's the funniest thing I've EVER seen!".

"Dad, dad, please keep that black and white dog away from
us".
