 AngusDog Daze! - October 2008Casper

October started off quite summery and ended up definitely feeling decidedly wintery. As for Dog Daze! - it may be called that now but perhaps it requires a change of name seeing as Angus has had his feet up by the fire for the last month. Casper Capers perhaps? Anyway, this months edition features a special scanned version of the latest article in Lake District Life magazine, telling of the retirement of the old boy and some special memories we have shared. Enjoy the article and the 'odds and sods' of photos that make up this month's Dog Daze!

Casper, I'm sure we don't really want to know - but what exactly is that on your tongue?

Hmm, thought as much. Guess you didn't like the taste of it much either!

'Henry loves his Minced Morsels'.

Connie and Casper check out who has the muddiest legs.

I take it from Connie's expression that Casper has done something to cause a smell nuisance.

The hunter. Has someone got the sweets out?

'It's alright Dad, we can do it. There are sweets up there I think'. Who looks the most fearful at the Bad Step, me or Casper?

'Ha-ha-ha, I don't think they know where they are, do you? Someone has sweets though, I can smell them...'.

'I want one. I want one. I want one.' Casper gets mercilessly teased with a packet of sweets by the StridingEdge walkers, the cruel lot! As well as being super tough fell walking dogs, Bearded Collies are also trained to sniff out all sweets and crusts within a 10 mile radius...

...using this shiny hooter - sniff, sniff, sniff, sniffer, sniff-sniff!

'Banzai!'.

The monster emerges from the deep.

'Shhheee. Shhheeeeee. I bet you can't whistle as well as me.'

The dog-sssnake ssslithered sssilently away.

A black and white portrait of a black and white dog.

'Zzzzzz'. Off duty Casper is fast asleep in this photo - on his back?!

The spiky porcupine.

When he's not at home by the fire, this is where Angus loves to be - having a good swim. Now the problem is to get him out again.

Casper wondering why he isn't getting his photo taken.

Angus and Casper are regulars in Lake District Life magazine appearing in every issue. Patience is required to download the following 2 files as they are quite large...
