Daze! - December 2008
It was cold and really quite good walking weather
throughout most of December with some gloriously bright days. If you
were wondering where all the snow on the fells went, I think Casper
managed to eat most of it as can be seen in some of these out-take
photos and misfits from our fell walking adventures during December
commonly known as the 'Dog Daze!'.

'Hmm, big dogs they have around here - think I'll walk
over and have a chat with the locals'.

'Help! They're not very friendly'.

'Like my haircut?'.

The snow plough dog swept a path through the snow.

A definite plus point of the drive to our shop along the
road from Newby Bridge to Bowness is the fantastic view from Beech Hill
across Windermere. On this cold morning I just had to stop and watch as
the clouds descended into the valleys and the snowy Langdale Pikes were
lit up by sunshine.

'Mmmm, the world's biggest ice lolly'.

Coco the clown dog.

'You're kidding, right?'.

'It must be quicker to go down that way?'.

The vicious lamentation of dog eating swans prepare to
attack.
Did you know that a lamentation was the collective
noun for a group of swans?!
