Daze! - July 2010
We have had drought and floods all together in one month
during July, how odd the weather is. No sooner did the hosepipe begin
than the rain started and it has never stopped since. No worrying about
any of the for the intrepid duo though, they carry on wandering the
fells regardless of all else and I hope you enjoy this latest in the series of
misfits and out take photos from the diaries of the Dog Daze!

'Pheep, here Dad'. In a strange role
reversal, Dougal whistles me.

'You schee, my tongue isch very long and I
can't keep it in'.

'Eek, definitely not that way Dougal!!'.

'That drought's getting a bit much, I'm sure
Coniston Water used to be bigger than this'.

'I love to chew rock'.

Was that a bit deeper than you expected
Casper?

A dip in Broughton Tarn, from a walk that
didn't make it onto the site.

The boys have great fun sliding back down the
scree slope.

Dougal has another go at sliding on top of
Dow Crag, Casper seems to have found the coolest place to
sit.

'Shiver me timbers'.

'Ohh, I'm gonna get you, tail!'

'...and for my next trick, I can balance a piece of grass on my nose
for hours.'

Knocked for six by an invisible force.

'Oh no, Dougal...l-l-look w-what's
c-c-coming'.
From the Keswick reminder, something I
couldn't have written better myself...

Lots of Calendars and StridingEdge wristbands
have been despatched this month, look out for the
distinctive bands on wrists and rucksacks all over the fells.
