Wow, how long has it been since I was up some of these fells? Well the last time I was on Gray Crags was in 2009, I can hardly believe it!. When I set off, the eastern fells were overcast with cloud and looking to the west I could see those fells were bathed in sunshine. Not to worry, it soon cleared out to make it a fantastic day, the longest I have done for ages and probably the longest ever for Fletcher, taking in 7 new Wainwright summits for him. I won’t leave it so long next time.

    Hi Sean

Great photos and many thanks for the mention of our meeting on Kidsty Pike!

It really was my pleasure to bump into you. I enjoyed our chat, albeit it brief, and Fletcher is an absolutely stonking pooch!

I look forward to reading about your many more adventures to come, and hope to spot you again sometime up in the hills.

    Cheers for now

    Stuart

Brilliant to see the site back up and running and you and the dogs out again. Welcome back Sean. This site inspired me to get out there and climb the higher fells a few years back

    Hi Sean
Really good to see that you’re back out again! Had to re-read that it was nine years since you were last on Striding Edge. Wow, where did that time go? And the dogs too. I remember when Dougal was introduced to us. The new mutt on the block. Now he’s 12 and taking things easier. So, Fletcher has now taken over the mantle. How the younger generation take over! Great to see you posting your walks again and the quality of your images are as good as ever. I’ll look forward to following your walks again.
    Best wishes
    John

Hi Sean, Just happened to visit your site again after quite a while. Thought you had given up, but delighted to see that is not the case. Great to see those dogs out on the fells again, looking forward to many more over the winter. Welcome back!
