Latterbarrow

Walked on 03/11/2006

Latterbarrow (OF) from Colthouse

Weather: Clear and cold, gradually clouding. 5oC.

Yet again it was cold and clear this morning, but I only had time for a short walk today. The mist was hanging over Coniston Water and the Crake Valley with pockets of cloud in some of the smaller valleys – I couldn’t resist driving up the east side of Coniston Water for these first few photos.

Wetherlam from Tarn Hows. Then it was over to Hawkshead - I could see Esthwaite Water was under inversion cover but there were no real vantage points so I had a walk up to Latterbarrow.
